About MSTtoEST.com

How MSTtoEST.com converts Mountain Time to Eastern Time. Our data comes from the IANA time zone database and US DST rules are applied automatically.

What this site does

MSTtoEST.com is a free tool that converts Mountain Time to Eastern Time and back on our MST to EST converter. You can also explore our full 24-hour chart. It also covers Arizona time, daylight saving time and meeting overlap between the two zones. No sign-up is needed.

Where our time data comes from

All conversions run in your browser using the IANA time zone database (also called tzdata). It is the same database used by Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and most servers. Time zones used: America/Denver for Mountain Time, America/Phoenix for Arizona and America/New_York for Eastern Time.

How daylight saving time is handled

In the US clocks move forward 1 hour at 2 AM on the second Sunday in March and back 1 hour at 2 AM on the first Sunday in November. Mountain and Eastern Time change on the same dates so the gap stays 2 hours. Most of Arizona does not change its clocks so it is 2 hours behind Eastern Time in winter and 3 hours behind in summer.
